Book Description:

A career on the verge of a wipeout. A relationship out to sea. Stepping back to the shore to rethink her future, can she get in the zone with life?

Zoe Smith, 23, is stuck in a funk. Discouraged by her last performance of the season, the twenty-three-year-old competitive surfer feels unhappy with the person she’s become. And discovering her coach and boyfriend is a cheater, she calls it quits, packs her board, and heads home to Australia for the summer to regroup.

Heartbroken, she turns to her journal as an outlet and opens herself up to anything the universe suggests. And shocked when a spiritual guide answers her plea, she sets out to deepen her connection with loved ones and reach toward clarity.

As her perceptions evolve and she sees herself and others anew, can Zoe catch a wave to enlightenment?

The Summer of Wonder is an inspiring and sweet New Adult women’s fiction novel.

Review:

The book started with our main character Zoe, who's a professional surfer. Zoe explaining us about her childhood and also how she got herself into surfing. I loved Derek in the beginning as she explains how their relationship blooms. Characters are well written, especially Zoe's friendship with Sophie. It captures Zoe's surfing life – it surely reminded me of watching a summer vibe movies. It's about how far one is willing to push the limits in pursuit of rising above . It covers the spiritual and professional growth of Zoe. Author ends the book with a lovely poem and there's a epilogue link too. Overall a goodread, if you're feeling a bit down or need something to motivate yourself, you can pick this book for sure.

Author Interview - Russell Gaynor

Exclusive Q/A session with the Author of The Mind of the Man-child,  Russell Gaynor Hello and Welcome everyone!  Today, we have the honour of hosting an author interview with Russell Gaynor. Thank you for joining us, and let's dive into this enriching author interview together! 1. What motivated you to become a writer, and when did you know this was what you wanted to do? The blame falls to my grandmother and her invaluable integrity. Around her, if you couldn’t do a thing, don’t say otherwise. One day, a very young boy wanted to watch Mighty Mouse instead of her preferred black & white movies, and he made the claim he could write better stories with one hand tied behind his back. To her credit, she did NOT tie my hand behind me, but she did provide a stack of pads and a box of pencils before saying, “Prove it!” I was passing the halfway point of the second pad (keep in mind, I was 5 and my words took up three lines!!!) when she picked up the first one and star...
