Review:

The story is about a college student Abhay who is now on a mission to reveal some secrets of the Chola kingdom but on his way to reveal it he made the mistake of awakening a supreme evil. The first half of the story is interesting but the second half kept me hooked to the plot. The author used Tamil languages to describe some mysterious carvings and it made the book more interesting as it transports our mind to the ancient timeline. The history and storyline are captivating.

The plot is interesting and story settings in some historical places make it more vivid. The main backdrop of the story is commendable which includes Vedic culture, historical period, and ancient inscriptions and sculptures. I felt like I had been transported back in time! The descriptions of ancient cultures are so revealing, and the picture that is portrayed is enlightening. It is like reading some Ancient mysteries, rich in detail and good narration. Impressive use of historical knowledge.

It'll really hold your interest throughout the end. The story is good, but the ending seems incomplete with a cliffhanger, Really looking forward to reading the next part. A brilliant read from this author who certainly knows how to craft a good mystery.

If you enjoy historical mysteries that bring you to a completely different time and place, this is a book you will enjoy.

The Red Herring

The Red Herring - Book Review Title : The Red Herring Author : Raghu Sarma Pages : 212 The story starts with the murder of Devan Singhal. Later upon investigation, both his mother and father were found to be murdered. Investigations were carried out by DCP Malik and his crew.  DCP Malik and his team try to uncover the truth behind this murder, but every answer reveals a new set of questions. And as secrets and lies are exposed within the close-knit people, the mystery becomes deeper, precisely speaking more darker and more complex, wasn't expecting this kind of story in the start.  The  investigation team in this novel were very engaging, that made this book as un-put-downable. It's like One of those murder mysteries that you're not quite sure about but ends up growing on you very much by the end.  There are a multitude of characters here to keep track of. The book is rich in detail, sometimes a little bit too much. The first thing that struck me about th...
