The Entropy series#2

Book Name : Breaking Patterns
Author: M.H.Cali
Pages :294

Review:

The author's writing style helps the reader picture the characters and shows the difference in their standing. The plot developed slowly and carefully without rushing. Everything feels realistic and gritty. All the supporting characters played their parts well. There was excellent chemistry between Rae and Luke, we can't deny it.

For me, the plot and whodunit mystery is definitely more prominent than the romance, but you can’t help but root for Rae and Luke make it work and just admit that what they once had was much more than casual and that they can work together in the future. The sexual tension between them was so strong, I was able to envision it perfectly. The art work in the book is so good. It'll definitely help the readers to enhance their imagination.

The Characters were all well-developed, three-dimensional and added depth to the story. They weren't there just to fill otherwise empty spaces, which were all kinds of charming and melancholy at the same time. The author manages to keep the sexual tension front and center amid the ongoing thriller of solving a mystery. A bit with mystery tropes, nice depth, pockets of quiet emotional richness. I loved how Luke and Rae travelled from book 1 to here and the character developed is much appreciated.

The author ended this book with a cliff hanger, arghhh now I need to know Luke's decision.
