Book Description :

The first installment to the 'DEATHSTALKER Series'. A fast paced, scifi/ horror novel that follows the sinister young bounty hunter, Ande, who is trapped in the Soviet nuclear exclusion zone that is Pryp'yat' city. Stuck between finding her sister's killer and keeping the mutant mafia off her back, she struggles to find what it truly means for someone like her to be free, care for somebody other than herself, and somehow maintain her sobriety. Each chilling and gruesome chapter is a whirlpool of world building lore and mystery of what 'really happened' in Chernobyl, and is bound to leave the reader at the edge of their seat as she battles one oddity after another and comes face to face with the horrors of nuclear fallout.

Review :

The story started off with tons of suspense in the beginning with letters as a message. I couldn't stop myself as I entered into the plot where Ande and Harrin fights takes place. From the very beginning I was able to connect with the main characters and the connection grew stronger the further I got into the plot of the story line. Well written and a absolutely feast to Sci-Fi readers who wants to add some thrilling horror to their genre. There are more twists and turns in this story in which you never know whose attacking them at each turn of page. Every single chapter is really intriguing and gripping.

Written in a science fiction style, the author had done a great job in creating this story. The plot is based on the Chernobyl nuclear explosion incident, where it is largely hushed up by the government ; people where lied to. People were dying from acute radiation sickness and some of them are changed, is the most horrifying thing ever. Stories of people robbed of their present and future of the disaster. Sick, Mutated, Variants, Nightwalkers, abandoned cities,  destroyed lives of people.

Writing is extremely good and well written including the sounds and voices. Quick, Fast paced, thrilling read with likable characters, great action and settings. Within a few page, the story starts picks up it's flow with a bunch of  horror, thriller, action and fun too.

Cover is simple yet attractive and well suited. Title is an apt one to the content of the book. Language is simple and inbetween it contains some Russian words where you can find the appropriate English words for those at the footnotes. It does contains some curse words and it is mentioned in the beginning of the book that it has some scenes of violence, and it is advisable not to read those who are under the age of 18. Thoroughly enjoyable and horrific thrilling story with fun elements.

The Red Herring

The Red Herring - Book Review Title : The Red Herring Author : Raghu Sarma Pages : 212 The story starts with the murder of Devan Singhal. Later upon investigation, both his mother and father were found to be murdered. Investigations were carried out by DCP Malik and his crew.  DCP Malik and his team try to uncover the truth behind this murder, but every answer reveals a new set of questions. And as secrets and lies are exposed within the close-knit people, the mystery becomes deeper, precisely speaking more darker and more complex, wasn't expecting this kind of story in the start.  The  investigation team in this novel were very engaging, that made this book as un-put-downable. It's like One of those murder mysteries that you're not quite sure about but ends up growing on you very much by the end.  There are a multitude of characters here to keep track of. The book is rich in detail, sometimes a little bit too much. The first thing that struck me about th...
